Overview

Crowd Cow is seeking an experienced and dynamic Fulfillment Center Manager to oversee our fulfillment center in Watsonville, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team dedicated to achieving exceptional results, including 100% on-time shipping, flawless order accuracy, and ongoing productivity improvements.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the warehouse
  • Hiring and managing a staff of warehouse employees to ensure proficient work habits, safe practices, inventory accuracy, training, and productivity
  • Performing all administrative duties including scheduling, PTO oversight, timesheets, etc.
  • Managing and monitoring inventory to ensure accuracy
  • Ensuring proper training and utilization of WMS. Daily utilization of the WMS is required including inventory adjustments, de-allocations, location maintenance, etc.
  • Managing utilization of space and other physical resources to maximize efficiency and performance.
  • Supervise receipts and ensure necessary supplies on hand for order fulfillment (e.g., dry ice, boxes, coolers, etc.)
  • Maintaining paperwork and documentation in a manner that will comply with policies and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Delegate responsibilities but will directly perform the same tasks as those you assign tasks to
  • Process, pack, and ship orders accurately
  • Maintain inventory of products; restock as needed
  • Inspect products for damages; report as needed
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment
  • Receive and appropriately sort and store incoming products
  • Prepare products for shipping
  • Follow all safety protocol and warehouse procedures
  • Maintain adequate levels of supplies for your specific area including corrugated material, paper, labels, safety knives and marketing materials
  • Interact with management and team members in other departments to plan, execute and report on initiatives
  • Actively look for efficiency gains, process improvements and potential shortfalls
  • Troubleshoot problem orders
  • Take part in organizational meetings, as needed
  • Manage supplies
  • Participate in human resource meetings including coaching sessions and disciplinary action meetings
  • Manage the day to day operation in the absence of the Warehouse Manager or Director of Fulfillment
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

What You Have:

  • 8+ years of warehouse experience, preferably direct-to-consumer
  • 3-5 years of inventory control experience, preferably direct-to-consumer
  • 5+ years as a lead or supervisor
  • Must be willing to maintain a flexible work schedule. Weekend availability may be required due to seasonality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to understand the inventory and order management systems and train team members
  • Ability to learn the current process quickly and to identify process improvement opportunities

This is a full time position with an annual salary of $60K - $65K depending on experience
